IN THE CLICK GOES HOLLYWOOD! One will be hosting a special In the Click in the Los Angeles area this weekend. On Saturday, October 28 from 4-6pm, join Phill Flash and his "Out of Focus" crew for an afternoon of photo sessions and video interviews. You can network with OMP models and members, and set up future shoots as well. Attendees can also win free tickets to the L.A. Modelween party at Cinespace on Oct. 30. The event takes place at the Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Center, 11006 Magnolia Blvd. (at Vineland), in North Hollywood. Bring outfits, cameras, business cards, and portfolios. September Birth Stone Sapphire (alternatively Lapis Lazuli) - (antidote to madness)
Sapphire can be found in a rainbow of colors, all but red. (Red Sapphire is actually Ruby, it's cousin!) There are also "star sapphires"- which are domed stones that show a star-light effect on the top.
Sapphires are traditionally connected with the eye & the sky- therefore with vision & the ability to read the future. Sapphires render black magic harmless, and help the wearer discern falsehoods. Buddhists believe the Sapphire brings purity & spiritual enlightenment.
